Lame

A very versatile artificial fabric which again comes in a host of colors.  Although a complete dress can be made form this fabric, you need to insure that it is of the highest quality thread count, and is "backed" by another fabric.  The metallic effect of these materials make for a fantastic affect on stage.  Most often used in applicae.
