How we Measure...
We offer these eight steps to a wonderful
fit.
To begin measuring simply tie a piece of string around the person's waist.
This will then act as a reference point from which to take all measurements.
Note that all measurements should be taken in inches.
-
To gauge skirt measurement, start the tape from the piece of string and measure
down to a bent knee. Then simply take away between 3 to 4 inches depending on
how short or long you want the skirt.
-
To gauge neck to waist measurement, measure from the center of the back of
neck down along the client’s back to the piece of string around the client’s
waist.
-
The bust measurement is to be taken around the fullest section the clients
bust. Place tape at the center of the shoulder blades and bring around the
fullest section of the clients bust back to the starting point of the tape.
-
To measure the waist simply start the tape at center of lower back and
measure along the path outlined by the piece of string you tied around the
client’s waist at the beginning. When you return to the starting point
take the measurement.
-
To gauge sleeve measurement, measure from the crease of the under arm down
along a straight arm to the clients wrist.
-
To measure neck to shoulder simply measure from base of neck across the shoulder
to the point where the crease of your underarm would meet the top of your
shoulder.
-
To measure shoulder to shoulder measure from the point where the crease of your
underarm would meet the top of your shoulder to the same point on the other
side.
-
To gauge neck measurement simply measure around the client’s neck simply
start at the center of the back of the neck and continue around until you
reach the same point on the neck.
